Leigh (pronounced 'lay' -- like the month) is a Sydney composer aiming to make it easier for independent filmmakers to find the right tracks for their next feature. She first picked up her first instrument (a classical guitar) during her late childhood while hanging around the house of family friends and eventually got her own guitar as a gift from her mum. The interest to grow as a guitarist got eclipsed once she hit her early teens when one afternoon after a church summer program, an acquaintance (one of the minders) offered to teach her drumming basics. After that day, her skill as a drummer steadily grew with the help of various mentors, who were instrumental in sharing their knowlege while she consitently made sure she was able to play as often as possible (both live and during private jam sessions). This led her to cross paths with musicians in Jazz, Rock, and Gospel. The guitar was not completely forgotten and she still kept experimenting with it even if she had already gotten to a point as seeing herself as a drummer who plays guitar. It was only until after sitting on her first couple of songs (since coming across the collaboration platform Kompoz in 2009), she decided to take the plunge in 2014 to formally release one of them ('Walk In My Shoes') as a single.
