After graduating from university in 2008, Tye seized an opportunity to teach English in Huizhou, Guangdong, and subsequently moved to China. In 2012, he initiated his YouTube journey, documenting his experiences as an English teacher and co-founding a motorcycle building shop named Churchill Motorcycles with Winston Sterzel in 2015. Together, they explored various regions of China, producing documentaries such as "Conquering Southern China" and "Conquering Northern China." Tye's involvement in political discussions intensified over time, drawing attention to human rights issues, government attempts to influence social media influencers, and the COVID-19 lab leak theory. His departure from China in 2018, prompted by an investigation into an aerial video he created, marked a significant shift in his content.
