La Carroza Plastica (The Plastic Float) is a rock/post hardcore band from Lima, Peru formed in early 2005. They released their first demo titled "Las Rosas Emanan Funestos Olores" which was heavily self-promoted via Myspace, Purevolume and internet forums. It ended up being well-received by the underground press and peruvian emo scene. They shared the stage with many important local bands and appeared on TV shows. The band started posting new demos during 2006/2007 and appeared at many shows during the rest of the year until late 2007, when Luca, the band's original vocalist left the band due to internal problems and was replaced by Daniel (ex-Eiana) who ended up recording two demos with the band. Things didn't work out as the band was put on hiatus in 2009 with Daniel and Jeimy (drummer) leaving the band. In 2010, the band made amends with Luca as they returned silently to create more songs. In 2016 they released 2 singles titled "Julio" and "Lo Importante Es Hacer" which showed a slightly more commercial sound from the first recordings of the band, it also introduced JP, a new drummer. In July 2017, the band released an EP titled "Volumen I", which has new recordings of demos they did after the first one, and also new songs. In 2018, the band started working on a new album. A year later, JP left La Carroza Plástica and got a new drummer, Daniela. After three years of shows and recordings, the group started releasing singles for an upcoming album which were "Tu Barco
