L'escouade is a Swiss band, born in 2007, that plays French songs in a rock and folk style. Pierre-Yves "Pyt" Theurillat (vocals) and Christian Schnyder (guitar) are the band's leaders; Theurillat, along with Laurent Pétermann (drums) and Steve Fleury (keyboards) previously played together in the prog rock band Galaad. Sam Chapuis (bass) is the last member. The band won the "Médaille d'or de la chanson de Saignelégier" in 2008 for its first show in April. Its first album, "Confidences de Mouches", was created and realeased in June 2010. Its songs borrow heavily from Pyt's personal oniric universe.
