Kora et le Mechanix explores the fields of abstract experimental ambient music. They came onto the scene in 2004 on a compilation of selected Czech and Slovak electronic music entitled "V/A: Out Of Place Artefacts" (Mufonic Recordinx). Michal Korán previously played in Richter Band and Forgotten Orchestra of Dreamland, and in 2003, received the Slovak DOSKY award for best score for the theatrical production of Peron. Filip Homola worked previously with Die Archa and Znamení kruhu. In August 2005, Kora et le Mechanix released their first single "Cape Canaveral" on Blue Lizard Records, and their long-awaited new album "Excursin" is finally being released by Next Era.
