kid/codec is 3 guys, 3 cities, 6 computers, 3 iPhones, Dropbox, vintage synths, Makers Mark, and 3 hours of sleep. kid/codec is what happens when Sun-Ra’s love child gets stuck in that machine from “The Fly” with the RZA and Phil Lesh…at a rave. It’s a collaboration between 3 musicians with wildly different backgrounds, but who share a love of glitchy drums and scalp-pealing synth solos. You might hear some 909 kicks, you might hear some Hammond Organ, or you might hear a violin solo, but no matter what you will definitely hear some kid/codec soon.
