Kenny Tompkins is a strange human from Frostburg, Md. He has recorded and released records under several names including: Kenny Tompkins,The Christmas Lights, The Royal Army Recording Co, and The Trend. Each of these projects reflect a very different side of his musical ability and taste. Tompkins has performed in many places with many unique and great bands. His second tour (spring 2005) was with a then-unknown Page France who played as a backing band to his set before performing thier own. His Projects have shared a stage with many other great indie acts including Anathollo, Headlights, and Venice is Sinking. He Runs a small label also dubbed "the Royal Army Recording Co". The main focus of this label is to release records by artists he knows or who have contributed to his projects, as well as to share some of the great music that happens on the tiny town of frostburg, Md .In addition to his musical endeavors, he is a stop-motion animator. He has done several music videos as well as the animated short series "Herman" and "Passive Agressive Ninja". links:.
