Keenthell (Patrick Macaulay Keenan) was born in 1983 and brought up in the countryside of the North East of Scotland. On his way home from a piano lesson at the age of twelve his ears came into contact with the Ganja Kru classic 'Super Sharp Shooter' and from there a deep passion for electronic music of all forms was born. Having worked in a record shop for a couple of years after leaving school he began a music degree at Aberdeen University and alongside his formal studies began writing music at home also. He currently divides his time between writing electroacoustic pieces for his Phd in composition, and various strains of techno in order to purge his inner 4/4 meter. For Keenthell, Morton Feldman, Donnacha Costello, Louis Andriessen, SND, Frank Bridge and Elvin Jones all sit on the shelf swinging their legs and winking at each other happily.
