Kaspar von Urbach was a noise band formed in 2002 in Prague, CZ by K!amm. Originaly a four, later three member line-up focused on an obstinate and deeply unnatural sound-mining: partly from things and devices originally designed for very different purposes and partly from musicial instruments, effects and processors that are broken, left-off, cheep, despised, uncorrectly used, crap etc. Accidental feedbacks, unintentional noise and other „enemies“ of musical process had become important factors of KvU‘s creative effort. In spite of frequent performing beside rock bands on rock stages, KvU had in the course of time quit the field of rock, but they did not oppose sudden invasions into the distant areas of pop, folk and country or silence. In november 2007 a d.i.y. label called KLaNGundKRaCH have been established to release KvU’s records and records of related bands and projects. The band split up in 2010. The former members of KvU are also involved in other projects as RUiNU, k!amm, Head In Body, The Ruin of Ruins and NO.PAVAROTTI. www.kvu.klangundkrach.net www.myspace.com/kasparvonurbach User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
