Katherine Mae Palmer, or k8oh8 (pronounced kate-oh-eight, they/she) is an experimental artist and producer working in genres ranging from breakbeat and hyperpop, to ambient and drone. Kate dreamed of becoming a professional musician from an early age, something their family was always against, and got to create multiple unreleased projects. They didn't stop there, later trying out different genres and sounds, and while working with other artists, they developed their skills for a full debut. In the winter of 2025, k8oh8 signed with Verglas, a multigenre record label. Kate's first ever release is their version of a song by Parcelain titled Come And Go - Edit , which got Kate their first thousand listens on Spotify. On June 27th, Katherine released the first single titled I Need Some Oxygen, which was then featured on their first album Fluctus.
