Artist
Fascinated with texture, modified timbres and ethereal stasis, Joseph Scott's present (as of August 2010) output consists primarily of songs described as 'a tidal wave of ambiance' (Weekly Tape Deck), 'richly textured and euphoric... seriously lush' (Robots Made Me Do it), 'Savage, gentle and every other contradiction in between' (PlayMusic), 'A blast of wall of noise electro' (BBC 6 Music) and 'reminiscent of the more dancier moments of My Bloody Valentine's Loveless' (Noise! zine). He also often labels his remixes as 'Blossom and Surrender remix', an attempt to poetically reference the intended sensuality and/or sensations of the mixes rather than an alias, which has occasionally been the misapprehension. Previously he created more lo-fi, improvised drone-based compositions but with a similar emphasis on texture. www.myspace.com/blossomandsurrender User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
