Jaus (Stylized as JAUS/jaus) is an Mexican shoegaze band that formed in Mexico City, Mexico in 2019. It was started by Emilio Enríquez (Guitar/ Voice) and Rodrigo Guevara (Bass and arrangements), later to be joined by Ulises Garnica (Lead Guitar) and Carlos Márquez (Drums) and Giovanni Carrillo (Synths). Their sound explores soft melodies with heavy driven guitar riffs on top of a cloudy atmosphere. Their debut single, Oceans was released on April 22nd, 2021, and their second single, Fields, was released on September 8th, 2021.
