Janelles is a brazilian punk rock bubblegum girls-only band. Some of the girls met for the first time during the initial rehearsal in September 2021, partly because of the pandemic, but mostly because the members live in different cities: Mari sends her lyrics and vocals from São José dos Campos/SP; Jenny records the drums at home, in Porto Alegre/RS, at the glorious Hill Valley Studio; and Pri and Re record guitar and bass in Curitiba/PR, where the band has been rehearsing whenever they manage to get together. Each one of the girls creates the line for their own instrument, which makes the songs a truly autoral and collective work.
