Carlos Eiene, also known as “insaneintherainmusic” is an American / Filipino musician specializing in video game music and jazz music. He composes music for video games and records instrumental performances for games, film, and other media. He has created over 400 jazz arrangements of video game music on his YouTube channel insaneintherainmusic. Carlos Eiene was born in the Seattle area of Washington state in the USA, and started playing piano at a young age. Soon after, he was introduced to wind instruments via his school band program, and eventually settled on saxophone as his primary instrument. In 2012, Carlos started his YouTube channel insaneintherainmusic, where he began sharing his arrangements of video game music with the world. Since starting his YouTube channel, he has collaborated with musicians across the globe, released several video game music arrangement albums, and had the opportunity to perform at several gaming conventions, including MAGFest, PAX and VGMCon. In 2020, Carlos graduated from the Berklee College of Music, majoring in Contemporary Writing and Production and minoring in Video Game Scoring. In 2022, Carlos announced his retirement as a YouTube content creator, and shifted his focus to composing music for video games. His first complete video game score (for Tyrion Cuthbert: Attorney of the Arcane) released in June of 2023.
