I just want to make this clear: ill.so.naj is not Wes Harden. Wes Harden is not ill.so.naj. I am a person with faults and strengths, loves and struggles. ill.so is not a person, not chained by these mortal constructs. He's an idea. A deity or a sage. He's a rare sighting of a reclusive avian. He does not exist in our material reality. He hides inside your mind, sneaking from fold to fold dropping bits of nuance and nostalgia sonically spiked with psychoactivity. Aquarian Pt. 1 was the shedding of an ego. It was the point at which ill.so split off from his human counterpart, aka myself and my emotions, my material hangups, baggage, unfulfilled desires, memories both joyous and painful... It was a culmination of those things crafted by ill.so into a digital symphony. It was him taking those strong emotions out of my thick skull and my defiant heart and setting them free into the universe in a language everyone can decipher. It was a cleansing of the self and a leap into whatever the opposite of "self" is by exposing the raw feelings of a kid named Wes Harden and throwing them out there for anyone to witness.
