Artist
British born Singer songwriter Ian Paul Garland grew up in the leafy suburbs of Surrey, Purley to be precise. His musical journey began as a result of playing with Cassette recorders and a love of Film and TV soundtracks. He was also an 8mm film maker from the age of 8 years old. Playing to the mostly improvised action was a soundtrack by Tangerine Dream, Jean Michelle Jarre, John Barry, Michel Le Grand and many others. This evolved into the desire to write his own music and in 1983 he got his first Keyboard; a Moog Rogue, an Oscar followed the the first affordable sampler; Ensonique mirage in 84 and then finally a Bechstein Upright piano. Then he really got to work writing songs. He played keyboards in two bands in the mid 80's and early 90's Masque and then Fullmoon before going solo. He is still making films and is developing several projects now. An Album of his solo recordings is due to be released Soon User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
