Currently preparing to release their debut full length album 'In The Light Of A New Day' on April 2nd 2007, Manchester based metal band I DEF I are carving themselves an ever widening niche in todays alternative music scene whilst remaining defiantly unmoved and unchanged by trends and cliques. Starting 2006 with the release of critically acclaimed debut mini album 'Bloodulst Casualty', which became the fastest selling title to date on UK indie label Copro/Casket the band took the year by the throat maintaining a relentless live schedule which saw them support Breed 77 around the UK, play coveted slots at 'Rock London' at the Mean Fiddler and opening the Myspace/Gibson Stage at Download Festival 06 and undertake 2 UK headline tours. In September 2006 the band entered MCC Studios in Chesire to record the follow up to 'Bloodlust Casualty', before heading straight back out for a series of shows with the likes of American Headcharge, Skindred and Dry Kill Logic. Continuing the positive reviews and industry attention already afforded to the band through their embryonic early years which found them sharing the stage with the likes of Fear Factory, Stone Sour, Kiling Joke and Mindless Self Indulgence, as well as receiving endorsements from companies such as Warwick and Line6, 2006 proved to be a strong catalyst for the bands continued ascendancy from the underground.
