I get flashbacks are an alternative rock three piece from Battle, East Sussex and have been together as since October 2006, and been playing gigs under that name since June 2007. All the members in the band are under 25 and have diverse musical influences ranging from Jimmy (drums), who' into drum n bass, old skool hip-hop, jazz and hardcore punk; Paddy (bass) who likes math metal, nu- rave( i still haven't figured out what that is exactly) and big beat; and Laurence (guitar/vocals) who' into more experimental and post-rocky stuff. Together they fuel an energetically cerebral proposition, a wash of sound that has its highs and its lows, but always ends with a bang. Having played gigs in Hastings, Battle, Eastbourne and Rye, whilst getting excellent feedback from people at live shows and others who discover them over MySpace and Facebook,the time has come to stretch their legs and bring the noise to the masses. Their sets can range from half an hour to an hour and a half,and the material is very eclectic and varied; only in subtance, never in quality. They also pride themselves in being of the school of substance over style; no make up or charity shop suits for these lads, thank you. Whether you like pop, rock, experimental, beats or good old fashioned songsmithery, you'll find something in the mix to soothe the savage beast inside.
