hauntingclaire (formerly known as 1claire, kl0udz, claire055, yoxxie, clairechainsaw, hisremains and w6lker), is a non-binary singer-songwriter and producer from the US, primarily known for their emo-pop and dark wave music. hauntingclaire took an interest in making music at a very young age, creating beats on GarageBand at age of nine. At the time they took most of inspiration from Teen Suicide, Lil Peep, and osquinn. hauntingclaire started taking music more seriously in 2020 when they became interested in the hyperpop genre, and started to release music under the names yoxxie, kl0udz and hisremains. In 2022, they changed their name from yoxxie to w6lker. After their rebrand to w6lker, hauntingclaire started to notice their music getting some real traction. On May 19, 2022, hauntingclaire released “girlfriend” (formerly known as “corpse girlfriend”), and it was the first of their songs to gain major attention with over 100,000 views on SoundCloud and over 400,000 plays on Spotify. Around late 2022, the artist changed their name again from w6lker to hauntingclaire on all platforms. The artist also started to use the name clairechainsaw, which they use on their YouTube account and previously used on their Instagram account.
