about

Haliday is the punk-infused brainchild of Adelaide indie pop outfit Pinkish Blu’s Sebastian James. Inspired by artists he had on rotation in high school, such as Balance And Composure, Basement, and Box Car Racer, alongside more recent influences like Slowly Slowly, his debut single ‘Phase Me’ arrived as a sonic and lyrical time capsule, delving into the highs and lows of young adulthood. Haliday’s live band comes together as an Adelaide supergroup of sorts, supported by TOWNS’ Aston Valladares on guitar, Don’t Bring Stacey’s Kyle Sambell on drums, and Rachie Whitford on bass. The project played their first show in 2021, supporting Sydney pop punk band Yours Truly, and launched ‘Phase Me’ with a headline show at Adelaide’s Fat Controller Steam Room. So far in 2022, Haliday has shared the stage with the likes of Dear Seattle, Frenzal Rhomb, Columbus, Anges Manners & Bad Juju.
