Glitter Assassin is influenced by the cinematic textures of My Bloody Valentine, M83, Interpol, Slowdive and the straight ahead rock vibe of Placebo. Lyrically they exist on the fine line between retrospect, dreams and optimism of the future. Glitter Assassin released its first album on March 22nd 2011 titled “Small Hours Cinematic”. As a promotional item before the official album release an EP was released and distributed by hand at select events titled “Display Threshold”. Currently two singles from Small Hours Cinematic are available for download at http://glitterassassin.bandcamp.com/ or in iTunes at http://itunes.apple.com/us/artist/glitter-assassin/id382209463 The single version of the song “Somewhat Happy” was re-released on the SinSSS compilation from Sticky Sweet Sounds.
