Gandhi’s Revenge In the shadows of the 20th century two blokes came together to start up a band. Being influenced by bands like Hatebreed, The Exploited and Madball they had a clear vision of what it should become. After a few line-up changes and early gigs “Gandhi’s Revenge” was born. The first years of the band can be described as chaotic and full of drunken fun. It got them even doing a UK tour. Eventually this resulted in their first cd-release “Has The World Gone Insane Or Are We Just Completely Mad?” in 2007. Some people said it sucked, some loved it… The guys didn’t care and kept producing more and more mayhem on stages throughout the Netherlands. Meanwhile legendary in their hometown Almere, a unique show was done with a 14-piece string orchestra at the Liberty Festival. It became clear a more serious approach was needed. With two leadsingers and a new guitarist, they aimed for a higher musical level without compromising on aggression and energy. In the fall of 2009 they recorded a new album: “Geen ID”. With more experience and a good studio their `hardcorethrashpunk` sounds even more aggressive than it did before. The release show of their self-proclaimed masterpiece made quite an impact on the crowd. It was even said that they’re the best band in town at the moment.
