In 1999, Galaxfiftyfour, a 4-piece band from Karlovac, Croatia, got together to do atmospheric, slow, melancholic synth-and-drum-machine-ladden music. The original line-up: Chado - voice, guitars, synths / Prota - synths / Mate - bass / Skrga - guitars, drums Soon enough, the first album saw the light of day: Sleepers Vs. Satelittes (anubis records, 2000) The album was recorded over a period of some three weeks at Misery studios, Karlovac. Gear used: Korg Poly61 analog synthesizer, Yamaha DX21 digital synthesizer, Roland R8 drum machine, Boss Dr.Rythm sampler, a Casio keyboard of some sort, various guitars, basses and weird circuit-bent stuff. In 2001, more material got released:Panic! (EP) (Little lazy men music, 2001). The EP has been recorded over a period of a month or so, at Little lazy men studio, Karlovac, songs no. 3 and 5 have been partly recorded at Mala scena studios, also in Karlovac. Gear used: more or less the same as above + a huge Wersi organ-thingy, on loan from Vivian Girls (another similar band from Karlovac) In 2003, two songs appear on the Karlovac independent music guide compliation CD:1 - Pearling / 2 - Your turn now The second EP got released soon: Sing my nose bleeds (EP) (little lazy men music, 2004). The EP has been recorded over a period of a month or so, at Little lazy men studio, Karlovac. The song Tiny sequence fade out, which will later be released in a different version and under a different name, is originaly a Vivian Girls song (yes,
