el cartel are an independant five member guitar based band from Leeds/Yorkshire/UK. The members of el cartel are Tom Last (Vocals/Acoustic Guitar) Sarah Andrews (Guitar) Ally Bolton (Guitar) Harry Kendall (Bass/Backing Vocals) and Martin Birks (Drums). In October 2009 el cartel released the debut EP ‘el cartel’ independantly which brought them BBC and local radio play featuring on BBC Introducing. In September 2010 the band set up an open air performance as part of Cancer Research UK ‘Busking for cancer’ and became the number one fundraiser for the campaign in the the north of England.
