eerie days are a norwegian duo with karina damstuen on vocals and espen ludvigsen on guitars, keys, programming and vocals. they are based in oslo, but have a strong connection to tromsø as well. since fall 2005 they have been searching for sounds and words to mirror their creative and intellectual processes. during the creation of 2008demo they have been haunted by the beauty of the arctic nature, its melancholy and contrasts: chaos and harmony, vitality and gloominess, purity and texture. for eerie days the arctic is a reflection of the social community they are a part of – a cold, but yet frictional community. susannah and the magical orchestra, sigur rós, the white birch, radiohead and other less known bands and artists they continuously get in contact with, are all creating a dimension to their thoughts. at the same time they stress to give them selves the creative space and freedom needed to build up a unique expression.
