DR DUB AKA Sam Harrison Hails from birmingham, he was brought up on dance music, listening to artists such as Sash and and 2 Unlimited to name a couple. Through his youth he experimented with all types of music playing in rock bands and touring the midlands for 2 years with his band 'Unity' as Front man and rhythm guitarist. In 2004 he attended his first rave, global gathering, it was this day he found his love for Drum and Bass music. Shortly after this eager to start producing he got himself a copy of Logic and has been hooked on beats ever since. With a grade 5 in music and 8 years experience on guitar Dr Dub has a large understanding of musical theory which gives a huge advantage with writing tracks With the dreams of watching people dance to his tunes in big raves he started to send his early pieces to the likes of Jaydan, Hazard, Dstyle and a few other big names for feedback, only positive results came back and the ideas were clearly there. Throughout the next few years Dr Dub frequently attended raves around birmingham and met up with the likes of Dj Alpha and CKB who also offered their support. Helping him with the tunes and testing them out in the clubs for him. In 2007 Dr Dub moved to London and not long after signed to Jaydans Smokin Riddims' a target he had set his sights on since the label had been established.
