Dogtown are a female fronted five piece band from the Medway Towns in the South East of England formed in 2010. Although each of the members has different musical influences they bring it all together to create a sound that is like being violated by a length of splintered 2 by 2 with nails in it; but in a good way. Considering the current climate of Alternative Rock music too clinical and safe the...y set out to create some of the dirtiest sludge filled rock they could and add some danger and excitement back into the proceedings. They are also at ease with creating tripped out chilled goodness as well as their usual brand of grunge punk rock. Dogtown are unashamedly Lo-Fi with a D.I.Y. attitude; This is music with a raw vocal growl, out of control distortion and thundering drums and not some weak overproduced, market-driven, corporate rock that gets called 'Alternative' or 'Punk' nowadays.
