Dhruv Sharma, known mononymously as dhruv, is an Indian-born, Singaporean-American musician. He released his debut single "double take" on May 24, 2019, while being a third-year student at Yale University. The song gained popularity on TikTok and was placed on Spotify's Today's Top Hits playlist in 2021. He followed this with "moonlight" and "vulnerable" in 2020. The themes of his music revolve around his experiences as a queer individual working his way through the chaos of life. He released his debut EP, 'rapunzel', in Jan 2022, solidifying his foot in the industry as one of the most promising new artists. He later released a standalone single "Blur" in 2022 and was a support act for Joji on his 2022 North American Smithereens Tour. Dhruv released his debut album 'Private Blizzard' in August 2024, with "Tragedy", "How?", "Speed of Light" & "Grieving" serving as the lead singles. He released live performances of various tracks from the album on Youtube to celebrate the album's 1st anniversary in 2025. He has teased new music to be released in 2026.
