david aka defnoyz was born and raised in karlsruhe, a city in south-western germany. learning different instruments, he got into music at a very tender age. being impressed by djs like grandmaster flash, q-bert, tony touch, stylewarz, etc he finally bought his first pair of turntable decks around the years 96/97. for the next year he spent every spare minute improving his mixing and scratching skills. but quite a big change was soon to come. early 98 david had his first rave experience, was bitten by the old bug and didn’t look back since. after several years of bedroom djing he finally gained a residency at gunshot-kru’s regular drum n bass / oldskool nights which he still holds today along with a couple of other residencies, audio bullet and the infamous e:motion being two of them. defnoyz not only spins drum n bass, but also oldskool, jungle, hardcore breakz and uk hardcore, he loves to play varied sets which can’t be pidgeon holed, for him a healthy mixture is what counts. it’s not about styles, not about stereotypes, it’s all about good music at the end of the day. to compliment his djing david started to delve into the production side of things around the year 2002. improving his knowledge and skills since, he’s eagerly workin hard to get his music out there. not only hardcore and breaks, but also drum n bass are his chosen styles, which usually can be found mish-mashed throughout all his tracks. 2005 saw defnoyz’s first appearance on a vinyl release on whojamaflip
