In the middle of the year 2000 two guys started an experimental project based on drums, samples and bassguitar. After one year of searching and nearly casting a dozen of musicians they found their perfect line up in the early 2002. In december 2001 DEAFCON*X recorded their first 3 track ep called `jump the mini ep which got such a huge feedback that the band played a couple of shows and open air festivals in their fist year. The DC*X-style is based on classical crossover elements mixed up with jungle rhythms, hardcore shouts and german lyrics. Since 2001 a lot happened in the dc-x environment: Airplays in Germany and New Zealand, endorsemts with SANTA CRUZ Skateboards and the B-Project Skateshop in Nurenberg. Meanwhile the five guys recorded 3 eps and played a lot of shows in Germany, Italy and Austria among other support shows for HEAVEN SHALL BURN, CALIBAN, KORODED, DIE HAPPY, .sPout. and others. Whatever would be necessary to climb up into the mainstream league DEAFCON*X tries to keep the idea of crossover still alive.
