Dale Goodridge’s music is clearly inspired by the lush, carefully-crafted albums of artists of the ‘60s and ‘70s, who wrote, performed and recorded every song as though it was their last. Born and raised in the United Kingdom, his soulful and timeless classic rock sound is the product of a persevering work ethic, and over two decades of honing his production and recording skills and his dexterity as a multi-instrumentalist. Today, he meticulously hand crafts each of his original songs piece by piece in the studio he single-handedly built, playing every instrument himself, constructing rich layers that resonate with personal yet also universal significance. Music deeply influenced Goodridge long before he felt the calling to create it. As a child, he was mesmerized by his father’s diverse collection of ‘70s records, which first ignited his passion for music. He reveled in the experience of holding the vinyl albums of his favorite artists in his hands and poring over the covers as he listened. Albums such as AC/DC’s Powerage scared and excited him in equal measure and gave birth to emotions that became the strong building blocks he would later use to push his creative boundaries and connect with the world through his art. Before he even picked up an instrument, he was particularly stirred by Stealer’s Wheel LPs, Gerry Rafferty’s “Baker Street” and The Beatles’ Abbey Road album.
