d-Wizz 2.0 is a Brisbane based rock act which is mainly focused around drummer David "d-Wizz" Barker and guitarist Dario Western. The band was originally going to be called The Hebephronics upon starting in 2003, but changed their name to d-Wizz 2.0 in 2005. The band is influenced by various styles of rock music ranging from rock'n'roll from the 50's and 60's to 70's punk and New Wave with some touches of glam rock, reggae, doo-wop, power pop, Australian rock, and even funk rock. Bands that have influenced d-Wizz 2.0 include The White Stripes, The Beatles, Sham 69, The Ramones, Jonathan Richman & The Modern Lovers, The B-52s, Slade, Bob Marley, The Raspberries, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nik Kershaw. Former members of the band include bassists Chris Jones and Mitchell Booth. The band has recently gained much local attention in the local music scene from their performance at UnConvention Brisbane in late 2012. Best known songs by d-Wizz 2.0 include "House From Hell", "d-Wizz 2.0 Theme", "Choc-o-Block Freak", and a cover of Trio's "Broken Hearts For You And Me" (the B-side of their 1982 hit "Da Da Da I Don't Love You, You Don't Love Me").
