Christoffer brus is an outlet of Christoffer Berg aka Hird. Christoffer Berg is as producer, music engineer, DJ, musician and label manager. Chris was brought up by two talented musician parents and began playing the drums from the age of 6. In the late 90's he began experimenting with electronic music which resulted in the releases: Hostlovep on Conceptional Recordings (Washington DC), Christoffer Brus EP on Hobby Industries, run by Opiate (Bjork, Future3, April, etc) and Christoffermusik EP on Swedish imprint Facets. Chris doubled up with Koop in Stockholm and project Hird was born. Chris also started a club night called Meccca, at the legendary Nefertiti in Gothenburg. Booking artists and DJs such as Alex Barck from Jazzanova, Seiji, Norma Jean Bell, Alex from Tokyo (Tokyo Black Star), Gil-bert and I:Cube, Azymuth, Jesper Dahlback aka the Persuader, DJ Cosmo, DJ Patife and MC Stamina. The first 12" from Hird, Keep you Hird, was championed by Richard Dorffmeister, Jazzanova, Gilles Peterson, and got him an artist agreement with DNM records. After his debut album, Moving On, was released in 2004, Chris toured with his band and as a DJ in Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Japan, USA, Estonia, Russia, Italy and England. The album was also nominated for the Alternative Grammy Manifest, and Swedish Radio Awards. None of these awards ended up an actual prize, but the Radio Awards after-party in Christoffers studio is a modern classic, recieving mentions in the morning newpapers in
