So much like what So Many Dynamos has done to hail Dismemberment Plan, Children's Audio did to hail The Get Up Kids. The early band of a young Aaron Stoval (So many Dynamos), Ryan Ballew (predecessor to Griffin Kay of SMD) and for a short while, Ryan Wasoba (currently of SMD), this St louis quartet was loved by many in the area. Often described as "embarassing" and "man we sucked" by Aaron, it is obvious to see why in 2001 they disbanded and several members moved on to a more innovative and interresting genre. All the same, there are still many people from the St Louis area and beyond that think back on the band with fond memories and broken hearts.
