cheeky things (stylised in lowercase) is a Filipino Alternative band consisting of members Kim Bernardino (vocals), Mark Aze Deladia (guitar, vocals), Inigo Lapuz (guitars), Anthony Tobias (bass, vocals), Ron Lobiano (drums), and Xibrix Reamillo (tech), formed in 2020. Their work is characterized by thick guitar textures, subdued androgynous vocals, and a DIY approach to everything. Genre-wise, the band has released studio and home recordings that blend shoegaze, twee pop, and noontime show wit, with slowcore and lo-fi production. On April 1, 2023, ‘demo’ EP was released as a primer of their sonic capabilities. The song ‘korean blackout curtain 7ft. (1 pc. not set)’ was named 2nd best Filipino Track of 2023 by The Flying Lugaw. Single tracks ‘bones’ and ‘tacloban’ were subsequently released in 2024.
