Formed in San Diego in 2018 by AJ Tartol and Chris Floyd, buriedbutstillbreathing originally started out as a bedroom project. Chris’ departure from the band after a short time sparked a full 5-piece lineup and a tighter sound. Their influences include On Broken Wings, Disembodied, Martyr AD, early Norma Jean and even myspace-era deathcore such as Animosity and As Blood Runs Black as well as various death metal and hardcore bands. Having released their first record in March 2020 titled Exhumation, they’re ready to take things to the next level by delivering a relentlessly heavy and mosh-inducing sound in the most organic way possible.
