Blumenkraft is the latest musical project and pseudonym of Swiss Musician, DJ and Producer Marc Roosli. The name 'Blumenkraft' which means 'Flower Power' in German, was born out of Marc's Swiss-German name - Roosli - meaning 'little rose'but is also a reference to electonic music icons 'Kraftwerk'. Marc Roosli was born in 1974 in Switzerland where he grew up in the midst of the burgeoning techno scene of the early 90s. After classical piano training of his childhood he swiftly swapped his piano for a Korg, Commodore & set of decks in his teenage years and became a regular at many of the underground raves. In 1998 Marc and his Irish wife Kiki moved to Ireland where Marc performed in a number of local venues before starting his career in Multimedia production. Blumenkraft's debut single 'Skinny Bitch'(2009) is a collaboration between Marc and Kiki and is a direct result of the couple's effort in trying to get creative again in the evenings after putting the children to bed! The couple is planning on releasing more collaborative singles whilst Marc is busy laying down the tracks of Blumenkraft's first and more techno-orientated album.
