Artist
Big Science was formed in Chicago, when former members of San Diego's The North Atlantic, Jason Hendrix (voice, guitar, keys) and Jason Richards (bass, keys), moved to Chicago to start a new project with long time friend, and North Atlantic producer/engineer, Jason Clark (guitar, drums, voice). After a few practices using electronic drum settings on an old Yamaha keyboard, they met Jeremy Pena (drums, keys, voice) through a mutual friend. They released the self-recorded, The Coast of Nowhere EP in late 2008, and made it available for free download. In 2010 the band released the Skyscraper Sound EP on AEMMP records. Late in 2010 Pena, Richards, and Hendrix parted ways with Clark. Currently they are finishing up the band's debut full length album. Their sound incorporates elements of 80's and 90's indie rock, new wave, post punk, Krautrock, and shoegaze.
