Artist
beat mints boyz is a unit formed by WACK founder Watanabe Junnosuke and composer/producer Matsukuma Kenta. Although the two had been frequent collaborators since 2008, the name of the group was conceived for the 2017 album WACK & SCRAMBLES WORKS, in which they covered the song Spark by BiSH. The duo would subsequently use beat mints boyz as a pen name for songwriting credits and occasional WACK performances. In June 2019, beat mints boyz recorded an alternative version of BiSH's then-unreleased album, CARROTS and STiCKS. The release of this alternate album corresponded with the original album's pre-release period. Both versions were identical in appearance, with no way to tell the difference between the two until after they were purchased.
