Bajo Cuerda is a Spanish Heavy Rock band established in 2004 and located in the city of Toledo that have shared stage with bands like Sonata Arctica, Silverfist, José Rubio’s Nova Era, Avalanch, Mägo de Oz or Saurom. In 2004, after the breakup of some bands, Bajo Cuerda starts its path. After some years looking for their own sound, and with some changes in the formation, it is in 2010 when the group is really consolidated. A demo with 4 tracks is recorded and in the middle of 2012 they record what would be their first album: Vivificabit. With Charly and Pichu playing the guitars, Marea the bass, Ito singing and Dani on drums, a Heavy Rock sound is found, very influenced by all the great bands that arose on the 70’s and the 80’s, but without forgetting about the different influences that any single one of the components of the band has got. Mixed by Víctor Camacho and Berse in the Scud studios (Alcorcón, Madrid), and with the voice of Raquel Sánchez in some tracks, VIVIFICABIT comes out, and shows what they call the sound of Bajo Cuerda, hard to define; every single song shows something different to the previous one, there aren´t two songs alike. Inside the album, there can be found very heavy songs, hard rock songs, more rock-ish songs… The appearance of the album becomes a new period for the band. The great reviews they receive do nothing but encourage them to continue rehearsing, to continue doing what they like most, and to continue giving it all on every stage they are. I
