Apocalyptichaos is a death doom metal band from Goiás, Brazil formed in 2008. They started the band with the propose of doing heavy music, full of feelings and obscurity, totally influenced by bands of Doom, Dark and Death metal. In the year of 2010, after release their first work, the single ''Nemesis'', Apocalyptichaos won as the best band from the month of November in a competition made by a website focused on the underground crowd, and, after that, they won as the best band of 2010, reaching 8,000 votes from the popular jury. In the beginning of 2011, also by a competition made by the site Wiplash, they won as the third best band from Goiás and the status of revelation among the most new bands of Brazil. In 2012, Apocalyptichaos becomes part of União Doom Metal Brasil, a muttual support group among bands and artists of the national Doom Metal, taking the lead of this endeavor, which was released the first compilation of the genre in Brazil, the Doomed Serenades, including the track ''Nemesis'' opening the compilation and gaining support from the fans of the genre. With the release of this compilation, was also released a new single called ''Cry in the Dark'', reaching a big part of the audience, becoming Apocalyptichaos the number one on the ranking of Reverbnation, among the national bands of Doom Metal.
