Apistat Commander was the project of Solomon Athanasius Seelhoff-Lindsey, (May 6, 1995 - July 6, 2020), originally from Gig Harbor, WA. Briefly known as "Cuddly One", he was influenced by artists such as Xiu Xiu, Pharmakon, The Microphones, Elliott Smith, and Carissa's Wierd, among others. His music blended elements of freak folk, industrial, downtempo, and depressive bedroom indie, resulting in a unique sound. He collaborated with Lazy Eyelids for his final release titled Gnaw.
