There is recently a crescent in the orbit of the so-called sympho metal. Among so many bands that have popped up here and there, Aetherea came to me. The band from São Paulo released the album titled Through Infinite Dimensions (via MS Metal Records) last April 3rd. The first impact with the work is the look. The cover signed by Romulo Dias is of unparalleled quality. The album's theme is a warning to humanity, about the consequences of their mistakes not only for her but for the entire planet. As recurrent as this subject may seem, it is extremely necessary for the moment in which we live. But since we are here to talk about music, let's get down to business. Through Infinite Dimensions is a long album with 12 tracks that add up to just over 1h10min of audio. When the sound starts to roll, the association with bands like Epica, Nightwish and After Forever is immediate thanks to the powerful vocals of Jessica Sirius interspersed with the throaty voices of keyboardist Rodrigo Mello. Completing the line-up, Fábio Matos (guitars), Vicki Marinho (bass) and Paulo Lima (drums) join forces with Jessia and Mello in a very technical album with great ideas for vocal lines and orchestrations/choirs. The individual talent of each one contributes for the material presented to sound good, thanks to the riffs and arrangements very well constructed. There's room for grand and epic songs like Weekend Prophets (who's the message for, huh?), My Hunter (great chorus), Beyond Hell (the best!)
