Skye Kothari, professionally known as acloudyskye (born November 22, 2002) is a producer, singer, and songwriter from New York. He's best recognized for his genre-defying electronic music, which blends elements of post-rock, indie, folk, and industrial with melodic dubstep, making him one of the most acclaimed artists in the electronic scene. In addition to his musical endeavors, he is also a world builder, story writer, 3D artist, and animator. His origins into visual art began with creating Minecraft animations as a kid. In 2016, he started using Blender and has since designed every cover art for his music. His art inspirations include Anton Fadeev, a sci-fi concept artist he discovered on ArtStation, and Simon Stålenhag who have greatly influenced his work. Accompanying his music, acloudyskye has created a world called "FIRST ENCOUNTERS" complete with characters and a storyline told through his music and 3D animations. The narrative explores the lives of inhabitants on a post-human Earth and unfolds across his albums. Growing up, acloudyskye was surrounded by music. His father played bass in a band, and he was exposed to a lot of 2000s rock, including Radiohead, Pixies, Pavement.
