Founded in november 2005 in Lyon by Pierre Guilbert, A Tijuana Trip is originally a « one man band » highly influenced by the independent american rock of the 80’s and 90’s. (Soundgarden, Hüsker Dü, Nirvana, Black Flag, Kyuss….) and the Link Wray surf rock. At the beginning completely instrumental, the music has evolved to a style between dreamy heavy rock, dissident hardcore and dusty americana, aiming to take the listener towards far and dry places fringed by the acid swell for a long lasting trip. The Meth Lab Exp. (5 tracks ) and Everybody Needs It (3 tracks) recounts many different ambiences, sometimes liquid ans dry, sometimes epic and dark, sometimes troubled and psychedelic. 2009 is the year of big changes with the new comer Xavier "Wallot" on bass to support Pierre towards brand new horizons.
