Zion'z was born in 2004, playing covers of Payble on Death. Strongly influenced by the new metal school, bands like Ill Niño, Deftones, Limp Bizkit, Sevendust, Nonpoint, Linkin Park and many others served as exemples to the band. In 2005 the band started writing and composing and played in several underground festivals in their state Minas Gerais, playing with bands like Saint Spirit (RJ), Arcanjo (DF), The Joke (BH). In 2006, as a independent band Zion'z started reconrding their first album, in the home studio of the guitarrist Doug. In the year 2007 finally the album "Medo" (Fear) was released, featuring many friends. The album was launched in the event "Tribal Fest" in the city of Governador Valadares (MG) openning for the band Trino (SP). In the same year, Benito was invited the be part of the album from the band "Os Capiau", concepted in the national hardcore scene. The disk featured an ad in the national magazine "Extreme Brutal Death". In 2008, Roadie Crew magazine brought an article about the work of Douglas on his producing and recording specially for the band Chainsaw Disaster, and other works for bands like The Imperial Betrayer, Saggra, Zion'z and others. In the same year, the band P.O.D. had their first South American tour, playing in Brazil, where Benito sang a song with the american band.
