Zhenya Otradnaya (Женя Отрадная in Russian) is a Russian pop singer that came third with 50 points in the Russian national final of the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest with a song called "Porque amor" (Why Love). Evgeniya "Zhenya" Otradnaya was born in the town of Krasnoturyinsk of Sverdlovsk oblast March 13,1986. Since 1993, when she was 7 years old, she has been studying in the Palace of Metalurgs in show band "Pharaohs" led by Alexey Andriyanov. She has won number of prizes at the festivals of children art. In 2003 Evgeniya moved with her family to Taganrog. Her next step was participation in the "Secret of Success" show in 2005, where she finished 2nd. She has taken part in the contest "Five Stars" 2007. Her song "Zachem lyubov" is a typical Russian midtempo hit single, with pretty memorable refrain and a bit of recitative part in the second half of the song.
