From the deranged mind that brought you Unholy Analog Noisemachine, Crucifix Eye and MxCx now escapes some new sonorous aberration: "Zer0 れい", taking a sharp turn away from previous projects' abrasive volume and harsh tones and into the twilight zone of faulty electronics, outdated synthesizers and stolen samples. The project's sophomore release on BRC30 Productions presents a curated selection of early tracks co-selected by the artist and the label showcasing a broad spectrum of inspirations, all presented with accompanying video. Although defiantly refusing to stick to genre guidelines, Zer0 れい finds itself somewhere in the Vapor cloud of Outrun, Mallsoft, Synthwave, Retro Videogame Music and 80ies Nostalgia. FFO the music from Stranger Things but played through a broken stereo system or artists such as luxury elite, bl00dwave, Aphex Twin, Windows 98の, chris††† and Macintosh Plus.
