Artist
Zem Audu (b. 1986) is a Nigerian-born British jazz saxophonist. The son of an artist, Audu moved to England with his family when he was three years old. He took up the guitar at an early age, but it was the saxophone that he was always interested in. He attended secondary school in Kent, and it was here that he first started playing the saxophone; he joined all the youth music bands that he could, and soon he was conducting the school big band. After meeting Courtney Pine backstage at a gig, Audu started seeing Courtney regularly for lessons. Since being accepted into Trinity College of Music he has lived in London, where he has been studying with Jean Toussaint.
