Zebrahead is an American rock band from La Habra, California, formed in 1996. Their music combines elements of pop punk and hip hop. The band’s current line-up consists of rapper Ali Tabatabaee, bassist Ben Osmundson, drummer Ed Udhus, lead guitarist Dan Palmer and lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Adrian Estrella. The band has released thirteen studio albums. Zebrahead was formed in 1996 by Tabatabaee, Osmundson, Udhus, vocalist and rhythm guitarist Justin Mauriello and guitarist Greg Bergdorf. The group developed a style that incorporated hip hop influences alongside punk rock, leading to the dual vocal approach of rapping and singing. Their first recorded material included the demo "One More Hit", featuring the song "Check". In 1998, they released their self-titled debut album through Doctor Dream Records, followed by their major label debut "Waste of Mind" later that year. The album included the single "Get Back", which charted on the U.S. Hot Modern Rock Tracks chart, and a version of "Check" that appeared on the soundtrack of "Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3". The band’s third studio album, "Playmate of the Year", was released in 2000 and charted on the U.S. Top Heatseekers chart. An EP, "Stupid Fat Americans", followed in 2001. In 2003, Zebrahead released "MFZB", which marked a shift towards a heavier punk rock sound. The album achieved commercial success in Japan, where it was certified gold.
